Story behind this blog

At a very young age, I had a clear vision of what I wanted to be when I grew up. At just 10 years old, I had narrowed it down to becoming a chef or an interior designer. Anyone that came into our living room growing up would see HGTV or the Food Network on the TV…the only two channels I ever wanted to watch. And yes, I’m talking about when I was a SMALL child. While some children were watching cartoons or running around on the playground, I was showing up to your house with a five layer cake, or trying to redecorate your laundry room. What a weird kid, I know. It only took me to age 15 to decide that my true passion was in the kitchen. I didn’t want to do anything else but bake. I literally couldn’t stop.

So, a few years, a couple of different jobs, a degree in pastry, a baby, and a kitty later…here I am. While my life might look a little busier these days, the thing that hasn’t changed is my enthusiasm for food. That’s why I’ve started Cup of T. Most nights it is likely to find me in the kitchen covered in sugar, planning trips around the globe, and scouring Pinterest for new ideas for my nuggets (family) to try at home.

And while my career path is food driven, there is no doubt I will still show up to your house conjuring ideas on how to rearrange your living room while letting you know your laundry room should DEFINITELY be painted white. That’s why Cup of T is a little bit of everything; a little travel, a little design, and a whole lot of good food.
