Catching Up on Life: Apple Picking & 7 Things

Wow, it’s been a while! Over 2 1/2 years since I last posted. SO many things have happened since I last wrote, so I thought, what better way to catch up on the past and chat about the future than to post a 7 things with some cute apple photos from fall 2023. It may be boring to some, but cut me some slack…I had to start somewhere, and I can’t let these cute photos go to waste 😉

1. I know it’s the middle of June, but are we resolution people around here? I overheard a discussion recently about how this individual has managed to keep all their 2024 goals in check thus far, and I have to admit, resolutions just aren’t for me. 1. I don’t like the idea of waiting until the new year to start something I could start now. And 2. I tend to dream big and shoot for the stars and don’t like inevitably letting myself down because, for the life of me, I can’t create a small goal. 😆

2. Over the past 2+ years, I’ve had the privilege of traveling to multiple different cities, both new and previously traveled: NYC, New Orleans, Chicago, Denver, Orlando (Disney World), Phoenix/Mesa for a friend’s wedding, and Savannah for my mom’s 60th birthday. There are few things I love more than travel, so I feel very fortunate I am able to make time in this busy life for something I love so much.

3. I have a new partner in life, Tarik. He is so special to me, and I genuinely feel I have found my soulmate. I couldn’t ask for a better man to come into my life and accept both Oliver and I.

UPDATE:

Since starting this post a few months back, well nearly eight…(early November 2023), not only do I have a new partner in life, I’m ENGAGED! 🎉 Cheers to all the new adventures of 2024!

4. Oliver has started school and graduated 4K! I can’t believe it. My baby is growing up so fast, and boy, I wish I could slow down time. He’s the sweetest, smartest, funniest kiddo around. I love being his mom more than anything in the world.

5. Over the past couple of years, I’ve made a conscious effort to spend more quality time with Oliver without interruptions (texting, work, making dinner, etc.). Lately, quality time for us has been letting him choose/cook dinner once a week, decide what we do for a day/night, and simply get him out of the house to the park, store, a walk, etc.. He is the BEST errand buddy and, honestly, the best buddy for just about everything else.

6. I turn THIRTY this year. It’s truly wild to me. Although twenties are fun, I’m more than ready to say goodbye. I think my thirties are going to be my best years yet. 🥰

7. I can’t wait to start sharing with you all again! Let’s go!
